Abstract

Background : Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) is one of the respiratory tract diseases caused by Coronavirus infection. Covid-19 can infect or be transmitted through saliva splashes (droplets) when coughing and sneezing. To avoid exposure to Covid-19 infection, it is necessary to implement health protocols as an initial prevention step.

Research Purpose : To find out the Experience of Compliance with Covid-19 Survivors' Health Protocols at the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health of Palangka Raya.

Research Method: This study uses a qualitative phenomenological method. The samples in this study were 3 participants of Covid-19 survivors at the Health Poltekkes of the Ministry of Health Palangka Raya and 1 key informant from the Covid-19 Task Force Team of the Health Poltekkes of the Ministry of Health Palangka Raya. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative method.

Result : In conditions prior to exposure to Covid-19 infection, participants did not comply with health protocols. This non-compliance has an impact on the high risk of being exposed to viral infections, but after the Covid-19 survivor participants recover, there is a change in behavior in complying with health protocols to become more positive.

Conclusion : The experience of participants of Covid-19 survivors shows a change in behavior in the application of health protocols towards a more positive direction, which previously did not comply with health protocols to comply with health protocols. The cause of survivor participants being exposed to Covid-19 infection is indirect physical contact without being aware of it and the transmission of Covid-19 in the office sector is caused by transmission from outside the scope.
