Abstract

Menurut Word Health Organization (WHO)kanker payudara merupakan penyakit kanker dengan persentase kasus baru yang tertinggimerupakan kanker yang menjadi penyebab paling umum kematian di kaum perempuan yaitu sebesar 522.000 kematian.Menurut WHO mendeteksi kanker payudara dapat dimulai dengan melakukan SADARI,Edukasi kesehatan merupakan salah satu metode untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kanker payudara dan menyadarkan masyarakat tentang pentingnya upaya deteksi dini dengan SADARI.Upaya pemberian informasi dapat melalui penyuluhan menggunakan berbagai media seperti video dan leaflet, pemberian edukasi dengan media ini lebih praktis dan fleksibel bagi masyarakat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang SADARI khususnya pada remaja putri.

Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen denganPretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposivesampling dengan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 24 kelompok intervensi dan 24 kelompok kontrol. Kelompok intervensi diberi edukasi dengan media video sedangkan kelompok kontrol diberi edukasi dengan media leaflet. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.

Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata skor pengetahuan pada kelompok eksperimen setelah dilakukan intervensi dengan video yaitu 84,179 dengan nilaip value 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05), untuk kelompok kontrol denganleafletmemiliki skor rata-rata 79,125 dengan nilai p value 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05). Dan untuk rata-rata skor praktik pada kelompok eskperimen setelah dilakukan intervensi dengan video yaitu 27,583 dengan nilai p value 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05), untuk kelompok kontrol denganleafletmemiliki skor rata-rata yaitu 25,953 dengan nilai p value 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05). Dari data tersebut dapatdisimpulkan bahwa, tidak ada perbedaan efektifitas edukasi SADARI melalui media video danleaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik SADARI pada remaja putri, namun berdasarkan nilai rata-rata media video lebih tinggi meningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik SADARI dibandingkan media leaflet.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwatidak ada perbedaan efektifitas edukasi SADARI melalui media video danleaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik SADARI pada remaja putri. Namun berdasarkan nilai rata-rata media video lebih tinggi meningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik SADARI dibandingkan media leaflet.

According to the Word Health Organization (WHO) breast cancer is a cancer with the highest percentage of new cases being cancer which is the most common cause of death in women, amounting to 522,000 deaths. According to WHO, detecting breast cancer can be started by doing breast self-examination (BSE). Health education is a method to increase knowledge about breast cancer and make the public aware of the importance of early detection efforts with BSE. Efforts to provide information can be through outreach using various media such as videos and leaflets, providing education with this media is more practical and flexible for the community in increasing knowledge about BSE, especially for young women.

This study used a quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a total sample of 24 intervention groups and 24 control groups. The intervention group was given education using video media while the control group was given education using leaflet media. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.

The results showed that the average score of knowledge in the experimental group after intervention with video was 84.179 with a p value of 0.000 (0.000 <0.05), for the control group with leaflets had an average score of 79.125 with a p value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05). And for the average practice score in the experimental group after the intervention with video was 27.583 with a p value of 0.000 (0.000 <0.05), for the control group with leaflets had an average score of 25.953 with a p value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05). From these data it can be concluded that, there is no difference in the effectiveness of BSE education through video media and leaflets on increasing BSE knowledge and practice in young women, but based on the average score of video media, BSE knowledge and practice are higher than leaflet media.

Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the effectiveness of BSE education through video media and leaflets on increasing BSE knowledge and practice in adolescent girls. However, based on the average score, video media increased BSE knowledge and practice higher than leaflet media.
