Abstract

Vitamin A pada ibu nifas, berperan penting dalam penglihatan, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, fisik dan berfungsi sebagai kekebalan. Pemberian ASI diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan bayi di bulan-bulan awal kehidupan. Vitamin A penting untuk kekebalan dan membantu bayi tetap sehat, begitu juga bagi ibu tidak mendapat asupan vitamin A yang cukup dalam makanannya, bayi mungkin juga tidak mendapat cukup ASI.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran pemberian vitamin A pada ibu nifas di Puskesmas Tangkiling Kota Palangka Raya

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 48 responden .

Hasil penelitian didapatkan pemberian Vitamin A pada ibu nifas terdapat 38 (79,2%) responden diberikan Vitamin A dan terdapat 10 (20,8%) responden yang tidak diberikan Vitamin A. Usia ibu nifas 20 – 35 tahun sebanyak 37 (77,1%), usia > 35 tahun sebanyak 8 (16,7%) responden dan < 20 tahun 3 (6,3%) responden. Ibu nifas berpendidikan menengah sebanyak 22 (45,8%) responden, pendidikan tinggi sebanyak 13 (27,1%) responden dan pendidikan dasar sebanyak 13 (27,1) responden. Pengetahuan ibu nifas yang berpengetahuan baik sebanyak 35 (72,9%) responden, pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 12 (25,0%) responden dan pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 1 (2,1%) responden.

Kesimpulan yaitu Ibu nifas di Puskesmas Tangkiling sebagian besar telah diberikan Vitamin A, ibu dengan usia 20 – 35 tahun, pendidikan menengah dan dengan pengetahuan yang baik.

Vitamin A in postpartum women plays an important role in vision, growth and development, physical and functions as immunity. Breastfeeding is expected to meet the needs of babies in the early months of life. Vitamin A is important for immunity and helps the baby stay healthy, so if the mother doesn't get enough vitamin A in her diet, the baby may not get enough breast milk.

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the administration of vitamin A to postpartum mothers at the Tangkiling Public Health Center, Palangka Raya City

The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Sampling with purposive sampling.The number of samples in this study were 48 respondents.

The results showed that giving Vitamin A to postpartum mothers there were 38 (79.2%) respondents given Vitamin A and there were 10 (20.8%) respondents who weren't given Vitamin A. Age of postpartum mothers 20-35 years was 37 (77.1 %), age > 35 years as many as 8 (16.7%) respondents and < 20 years 3 (6.3%) respondents. Postpartum mothers had secondary education as many as 22 (45.8%) respondents, 13 (27.1%) higher education respondents and 13 (27.1) respondents with basic education. Knowledge of postpartum mothers who had good knowledge were 35 (72.9%) respondents, 12 (25.0%) respondents had sufficient knowledge and 1 (2.1%) lacked knowledge.

The conclusion is that postpartum mothers at the Tangkiling Health Center have mostly been given Vitamin A, mothers aged 20-35 years, secondary education and with good knowledge.
