Abstract

Latar Belakang : ASI Eksklusif yaitu ASI yang diberikan pada bayi sejak lahir hingga usia 6 bulan tanpa diberi makanan atau minuman lain. Salah satu program untuk menurunkan AKI dan AKB adalah melalui penyelenggaraan kelas ibu hamil dengan tujuan keberhasilan dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif.

Tujuan Penelitian : Menganalisa Hubungan Keikutsertaan kelas ibu hamil dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif.

Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif analitik cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Palangka Raya, dengan sampel 100 ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 6-12 bulan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu buku register. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square dengan α < 0,05.

Hasil Penelitian : Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa ibu yang ikut serta dalam kelas ibu hamil lengkap sebanyak 47 responden (47,0%), ibu yang memberikan ASI Eksklusif sebanyak 65 responden (65,0%), mayoritas pendidikan responden yaitu SMA sebanyak 43 responden (43,0%). Analisis bivariat secara statistik terdapat hubungan keikutsertaan kelas ibu hamil dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif (p=0,002).

Kesimpulan : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keikutsertaan kelas ibu hamil dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif.

Background : Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth to 6 months of age without other foods or drinks. One program to reduce MMR and IMR is through the implementation of classes of pregnant women with the aim of success in giving exclusive breastfeeding.

Research Objectives : Analyzing the Relationship of the participation of pregnant women with exclusive breastfeeding.

Research Methods : This study used a cross sectional descriptive analytic design. This research was conducted in the work area of the Palangka Raya City Health Center, with a sample of 100 mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months. The instrument used in this study is the register. Data analysis using chi-square test with α <0.05.

Research Results : The results of univariate analysis showed that mothers who participated in the class of complete pregnant women were 47 respondents (47.0%), mothers who gave exclusive breastfeeding were 65 respondents (65.0%), the majority of respondents were high school education as many as 43 respondents (43.0%). Bivariate analysis was statistically related to the participation of pregnant women with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.002).

Conclusion : The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between the participation of the class of pregnant women and exclusive breastfeeding.
