Abstract

Latar Belakang : Pemberian ASI eksklusif saja pada bayi 0-6 bulan dapat menurunkan tingkat prevalensi stunting pada balita 36-47 bulan. ASI mengandung zat imun yang dapat menambah daya tahan anak terhadap penyakit dan sesuai dengan kemampuan absorpsi usus bayi. Salah satu paya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan laju sekresi dan produksi ASI adalah dapat melalui penggunaan tumbuhan tradisional seperti daun katuk, yang diduga dapat menambah produksi ASI. Tujuan penelitian : Mengetahui efektifitas suplemen daun katuk terhadap peningkatan volume ASI pada ibu post partum. Metode Penelitian : Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah Quasi experiment dengan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu post partum di Praktik Mandiri Bidan Kota Palangkaraya dan besar sampel 33 orang. Uji statistik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji Wilcoxon. Hasil Penelitian : Uji Statistik diperoleh selisih mean antara sebelum dan sesudah sebanyak 33,58 ml dan nilai Z= -5,014 yang artinya pemberian suplemen daun katuk 5,014 kali dapat membantu meningkatkan volume ASI. Dan didapatkan nilai p value sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) artinya pemberian suplemen daun katuk efektif dalam meningkatkan volume ASI. Kesimpulan : Oleh karena itu, mengingat cakupan ASI di Kota Palangka Raya masih rendah maka disarankan akar petugas kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pada ibu menyusui dengan memberikan upaya alternatif dalam memperlancar produksi ASI yaitu dengan mengkonsumsi suplemen daun katuk.

Breast milk contains immune substances that can increase the child's resistance to disease and in accordance with the ability of intestinal absorption of infants. One of the marsh that can be done to increase the rate of secretion and milk production is through the use of traditional plants such as katuk leaves, which is thought to increase milk production. Research Objectives : The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of katuk leaf supplementation on increasing the volume of breast milk in post partum mothers. Research Methods : This research is Quasi experiment with One Group Pretest�Posttest Design research design. The population in this study were all post partum mothers in the Palangkaraya City Midwife Independent Practice and a sample size of 33 people. The statistical test used in this study is the Wilcoxon test. Results : Statistical test results obtained the difference between the mean before and after as much as 33.58 ml and the value of Z = -5.014 which means giving katuk leaf supplements 5.014 times can help increase the volume of breast milk. And the obtained p value of 0,000 (p <0.05) means that the supplementation of katuk leaves is effective in increasing the volume of breast milk.
