Abstract

Latar belakang : Teknik menyusui adalah cara memberikan ASI kepada bayi dengan perlekatan dan posisi ibu dan bayi yang di lakukan dengan benar, proses pemberian ASI merupakan proses fisiologis, namun tidak jarang ibu mengalami kendala dalam menyusui eksklusif dan melanjutkan menyusui sampai 2 tahun. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahuai gambaran pengetahuan ibu tentang teknik menyusui.
Metode : Jenis penelitian deskriptif, di laksanakan di UPT Puskesmas Menteng. Populasi ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 0-36 bulan dengan sampel 51 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian telah melewati uji etik penelitian.
Hasil : Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan ibu cukup sebanyak 22 responden (43,23%), kategori pengetahuan baik sebanyak 15 responden (29,4%), kategori pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 14 orang (27,5%). Karakteristik mayoritas ibu berusia 20-35 tahun sebanyak 43 responden (84,3%), dengan paritas ibu multipara sebanyak 26 responden (51,0%), pendidikan SMA sebanyak 28 responden (54,9%), tidak bekerja sebanyak 27 responden (52,9%), dan mendapatkan sumber informasi dari media cetak sebanyak 27 responden (52,9%). Kesimpulan : Diperoleh tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang teknik menyusui secara mayoritas cukup (43,23%) dan baik (29,4%), dapat mempengaruhi teknik menyusui ibu.
Saran : Diharapkan ibu yang memiliki bayi agar dapat menambah wawasan tentang teknik menyusui yang benar, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemberian ASI Ekslusif.

Background : Breastfeeding technique is a way of giving breast milk to babies with proper attachment and position of mother and baby, breastfeeding is a physiological process, but it is not uncommon for mothers to experience problems in exclusive breastfeeding and continue breastfeeding for up to 2 years. The purpose of this research is to know the description of mother's knowledge about breastfeeding technique.
Methods : This type of descriptive research was carried out at the Menteng Health Center UPT. The population of mothers who have babies aged 0-36 months with a sample of 51 people taken using purposive sampling technique. The research has passed the research ethics test.
Results : The data obtained indicate that the mother's knowledge level is sufficient as many as 22 respondents (43.23%), the category of good knowledge is 15 respondents (29.4%), the category of knowledge is less as many as 14 people (27.5%). Characteristics of mothers 20-35 years old as many as 43 respondents (84.3%), with parity multiparous mothers as many as 26 respondents (51.0%), high school education as many as 28 respondents (54.9%), not working as many as 27 respondents (52 ,9%), and get information sources from print media as many as 27 respondents (52.9%).
Conclusion : The mother's level of knowledge about breastfeeding techniques is quite large (43.23%) and good (29.4%), which can affect the mother's breastfeeding technique.
Suggestion : It is hoped that mothers who have babies can add insight into correct breastfeeding techniques, so that they can increase exclusive breastfeeding.
