PENGARUH AIR REBUSAN DAUN SALAM TERHADAP TEKANAN DARAH PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI

Latar belakang Hipertensi ialah tekanan darah yang meningkat (sistolik ≥140 mmHg atau diastolik ≥ 90 mmHg) dan dapat menyebabkan sakit yang lama pada seseorang bahkan kematian. Hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama setiap negeri karena bisa menimbulkan penyakit jantung dan stroke otak yang mematikan. Hipertensi di Kalimantah Tengah menempati urutan ke-6 dari 10 penyakit terbanyak. Banyak upaya untuk menurunkan tekanan darah salah satunya terapi air rebusan daun salam. Daun salam mengadung flavonoid yang mampu berfungsi sebagai anti oksidan yang mampu mencegah terjadinya oksidasi sel tubuh dapat membantu mengurangi hormon stres, mengendurkan otot arteri dan juga dapat menurukan tekanan darah tinggi pada penderita hipertensi.
Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi air rebusan daun salam terhadap tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi.
Desain penelitian menggunakan metode Pra-eksprimental dengan pendekatan one group pre-post test design, tehnik purposive sampling sampel berjumlah 39 orang dan alat ukur yang digunakan adalah tensi meter, stetoskop, lembar observasi, SOP cara membuat air rebusan daun salam, air rebusan daun salam 1 gelas/hari, lama 2 minggu, di minum Pagi dan sore ½ gelas sebelum makan. Analisa data dengan Uji Wilcoxon α (0,05).
Hasil penelitian adalah tekanan darah sebelum dilakukan terapi rata-rata tekanan darah sistol 160,67 mmHg dan diastol 93,1 mmHg. setelah dilakukan terapi air rebusan daun salam tekanan darah sistol rata-rata 147,74 mmHg dan diastol 81,72 mmHg. Hasil analisa dari penelitian dengan Uji Wilcoxon didapatkan p-value = 0,000 < α (0,05) yang mempunyai makna terdapat pengaruh terapi air rebusan daun salam terhadap tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi.
Kesimpulan terdapat pengeruh air rebusan daudn salam terdapat tekanan darah pada pendeita hipertensi

Background Hypertension is increased blood pressure (systolic ≥140 mmHg or diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg) and can cause long illness in someone and even death. Hypertension is one of the main health problems in every country because it can cause heart disease and deadly brain stroke. Hypertension in Central Kalimantan ranks 6th out of 10 most common diseases.
There are many efforts to reduce blood pressure, one of which is bay leaf boiled water therapy. Bay leaves contain flavonoids which are able to function as antioxidants which can prevent oxidation of body cells can help reduce stress hormones, relax arterial muscles and can also reduce high blood pressure in people with hypertension.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bay leaf cooking water therapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
The research design used the pre-experimental method with a one group pre-post test design approach, a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 39 people and the measuring instruments used were tension meters, stethoscopes, observation sheets, SOP for how to make bay leaf boiled water, bay leaf boiled water 1 glass/day, 2 weeks long, drink ½ cup in the morning and evening before meals. Data analysis with Wilcoxon α test (0.05).
The results of the study were blood pressure before the therapy was carried out, the average systolic blood pressure was 160.67 mmHg and 93.1 mmHg diastolic. after the therapy of bay leaf boiled water, the average systolic blood pressure was 147.74 mmHg and 81.72 mmHg diastolic. The results of the analysis from the study with the Wilcoxon test obtained p value = 0.000 <α (0.05) which means that there is an effect of bay leaf boiled water therapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
The conclusion is that there is a decrease in the boiling water of bay leaves in blood pressure in people with hypertension
