Abstract

Latar Belakang : Balita merupakan usia bayi di bawah lima tahun yang mana pada usia ini proses tumbuh kembang berpengaruh pada perkembangan berbahasa, kreativitas, emosional, kesadaran sosial, dan intelegensi Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan penelitian deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jumlah 113 responden, data didapatkan menggunakan data primer dengan mewawancarai ibu yang memiliki balita (3-5 Tahun) yang menggunakan gadget di Kelurahan Langkai Kota Palangka Raya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengisian kuesioner. Hasil : Penelitian yang dilakukan pada 113 responden didapatkan ibu yang berpengetahuan baik sebanyak 108 responden (95,58%), dan ibu yang memiliki sikap baik sebanyak 99 responden (87,61%), jenis kelamin anak sebanyak 63 responden (55,75%) berjenis kelamin perempuan, ibu berusia rata-rata 31-50 tahun (dewasa tengah) sebanyak 60 responden (53,10%), pendidikan terakhir ibu pendidikan menengah (SMA/MA/SMK) sebanyak 60 responden ( 53,10%), pendapatan keluarga dibawah UMK Palangka Raya sebanyak 109 responden (96,46%), dan lamanya penggunaan gadget >1 jam sebanyak 75 anak (66,37%). Pembahasan : Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan sikap ibu terhadap dampak screen time yang berlebih pada balita (3-5 tahun) di Kelurahan Langkai Kota Palangka Raya banyak yang memiliki pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik, jenis kelamin anak terbanyak perempuan, ibu berusia 31-50 tahun (dewasa tengah), pendidikan terakhir ibu pendidikan menengah (SMA/MA/SMK), pendapatan keluarga di bawah UMK Palangka Raya, lama penggunaan gadget >1 jam. Sampling using probability sampling techniques with a total of 113 respondents, data was obtained using primary data by interviewing mothers who have toddlers (3-5 years) who use gadgets in Langkai Village, Palangka Raya City. Data collection was carried out by filling out a questionnaire. Results : The research conducted on 113 respondents found that mothers with good knowledge were 108 respondents (95.58%), and mothers with good attitudes were 99 respondents (87.61%), the gender of the child was 63 respondents (55.75%) female, the average age of the mother was 31-50 years (middle adulthood) was 60 respondents (53.10%), the last education of the mother was secondary education (SMA/MA/SMK) was 60 respondents (53.10%), family income was below the UMK Palangka Raya was 109 respondents (96.46%), and the duration of gadget use was >1 hour was 75 children (66.37%). Discussion : From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the knowledge and attitudes of mothers towards the impact of excessive screen time on toddlers (3-5 years) in Langkai Village, Palangka Raya City, many have good knowledge and attitudes, the gender of the child is mostly female, mothers are 31-50 years old (middle adulthood), the mother's last education is secondary education (SMA/MA/SMK), family income is below the UMK Palangka Raya, the duration of gadget use is >1 hour.
