Abstract

Latar Belakang : Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) merupakan gangguan autoimun akut pada sistem saraf perifer yang dapat menyebabkan kelemahan progresif hingga gagal napas sehingga memerlukan perawatan intensif di Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Penatalaksanaan keperawatan yang komprehensif sangat diperlukan untuk mencegah komplikasi dan meningkatkan prognosis pasien. Tujuan Penelitian : Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan Guillain Barre Syndrome di ICU RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Metode Penelitian : Studi kasus deskriptif pada satu pasien GBS yang dirawat di ICU. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian : Ditegakkan 4 diagnosis keperawatan, yaitu bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif, gangguan mobilitas fisik, risiko infeksi, dan risiko gangguan integritas kulit/jaringan. Salah satu intervensi utama yang dilakukan adalah manajemen jalan napas melalui pemantauan pola napas. Selain itu, diberikan dukungan mobilisasi bertahap, tindakan pencegahan infeksi, dan perawatan integritas kulit secara rutin. Setelah dilakukan asuhan keperawatan selama masa perawatan, menunjukkan adanya perbaikan pada kondisi respirasi pasien, tidak terjadi tanda-tanda infeksi, serta tidak ditemukan kerusakan pada kulit atau jaringan. Kesimpulan : Penerapan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien GBS di ICU efektif dalam mencegah komplikasi dan mendukung perbaikan kondisi pasien. Kata Kunci : Asuhan Keperawatan, Autoimun, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Kesehatan Otak Background : Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an acute autoimmune disorder of the peripheral nervous system that can cause progressive weakness leading to respiratory failure, thereby requiring intensive care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Comprehensive nursing care is essential to prevent complications and improve patient prognosis. Research Objective : To describe the implementation of nursing care for patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome in the ICU at Ulin General Hospital in Banjarmasin. Research Method : A descriptive case study of a single patient with GBS admitted to the ICU. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and a review of medical records. Research Findings : 4 nursing diagnoses were established ineffective airway clearance, impaired physical mobility, risk of infection, and risk of impaired skin/tissue integrity. One of the primary interventions implemented was airway management through monitoring of breathing patterns. In addition, gradual mobilization support, infection prevention measures, and routine skin integrity care were provided. Following the provision of nursing care during the treatment period, there was an improvement in the patient’s respiratory condition, no signs of infection were observed, and no damage to the skin or tissues was found. Conclusion : The implementation of nursing care for GBS patients in the ICU is effective in preventing complications and supporting the patients’ recovery.
