Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pubertas merupakan masa peralihan dari anak-anak menuju dewasa yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisik, psikologis, dan reproduksi. Pengetahuan yang baik tentang pubertas diperlukan agar remaja putri lebih siap menghadapi menarche dan tidak merasa takut atau cemas Tujuan: Mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan tentang pubertas dan kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada remaja putri kelas VII di SMPN 11 Palangka Raya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 39 responden yang dipilih menggunakan proportional stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara univariat. Hasil Penelitian: Sebagian besar responden berusia 13 tahun (51,3%), pernah mendapatkan informasi tentang pubertas (82,1%), dan belum mengalami menarche (61,5%). Tingkat pengetahuan tentang pubertas pada remaja putri yang belum mengalami menarche sebagian besar berada pada kategori cukup (54,2%), sedangkan kesiapan menghadapi menarche sebagian besar berada pada kategori siap (66,7%). Berdasarkan tabulasi silang, sebagian besar remaja putri dengan tingkat pengetahuan kategori cukup juga siap menghadapi menarche (37,5%). Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar remaja putri yang belum mengalami menarche memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tentang pubertas pada kategori cukup dan kesiapan menghadapi menarche pada kategori siap. Berdasarkan tabulasi silang, sebagian besar remaja putri dengan tingkat pengetahuan kategori cukup juga siap menghadapi menarche. Kata Kunci: pubertas, pengetahuan, kesiapan, menarche, remaja putri. Background: Puberty is the transition from childhood to adulthood, marked by physical, psychological, and reproductive changes. Adequate knowledge of puberty helps adolescent girls prepare for menarche and reduces fear and anxiety. Objective: To describe the level of knowledge about puberty and readiness to face menarche among seventh-grade female students at SMPN 11 Palangka Raya. Method: This study employed a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 39 respondents were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using univariate analysis. Research Results: Most respondents were 13 years old (51.3%), had received information about puberty (82.1%), and had not yet experienced menarche (61.5%). Among respondents who had not experienced menarche, the majority had a moderate level of knowledge about puberty (54.2%), while most were ready to face menarche (66.7%). Cross-tabulation analysis showed that the majority of respondents with a moderate level of knowledge were also ready to face menarche (37.5%). Conclusion: Most seventh-grade female students at SMPN 11 Palangka Raya who had not experienced menarche had a moderate level of knowledge about puberty and were ready to face menarche. Cross-tabulation indicated that most respondents with a moderate level of knowledge were also ready to face menarche. Key words: puberty, knowledge, readiness, menarche, adolescent girls.
