Abstract

Latar Belakang: Otak adalah organ vital pusat kendali tubuh yang fungsinya terancam dari infiltrasi jaringan yang meningkatkan tekanan intrakranial, sehingga mengganggu fungsi neurologis serta mengancam survival rate pasien. Pasien pasca-operasi kraniotomi di ruang intensif memerlukan manajemen jalan napas yang ketat untuk mencegah komplikasi seperti Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP). Tujuan Penelitian: Memberikan pengalaman komprehensif dalam mengaplikasikan asuhan keperawatan sistematis pada pasien pasca-operasi kraniotomi dengan diagnosis bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Hasil Penelitian: Berdasarkan observasi selama tiga hari, intervensi manajemen jalan napas melalui head-up 30° dan suctioning steril secara rutin terbukti efektif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan produksi sekret yang semula kental dan banyak menjadi lebih encer, hilangnya suara napas ronchi, serta stabilisasi saturasi oksigen pasien di atas 97%. pasien berhasil melalui proses penyapihan (weaning) ventilator dengan kondisi klinis yang membaik. Kesimpulan: Manajemen jalan napas yang disiplin di ruang intensif merupakan kunci keberhasilan pemulihan fungsi pernapasan pada pasien pasca-operasi tumor otak untuk menekan angka morbiditas dan komplikasi neurologis. Background: The brain is a vital organ that acts as the body’s control center, whose function is threarened by tissue infiltration that increases intracranial pressure, thereby distrupting neurological functions and endangering the patients’s survival rate. Post-craniotomy patients in the intensive care unit require strict airway management to prevent complications such as Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP). Objective: To provide comprehensive experience in applying systematic nursing care postcraniotomy clients with a diagnosis of ineffective airway clearance. Results: Based on three days of observation, airway ,anagement interventions using 30° head-up positioning and routin sterile suctioning proved effective. Evaluation results showed that thick and excessive secretions became thinner, the ronchi breath sounds disappeared, and the patient’s oxygen saturation stabilized above 97%. The patient successfully passed the ventilator weaning process with improved clinical conditions. Conclusion: disciplined airwaya management in the intensive cacre unit is the key to successful respiratory function recovery in post-craniotomy brain tumor patients to reduce morbidity and neurological complications.
