Abstract
Latar Belakang : Diare merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi pada anak balita di seluruh dunia. Menurut data World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2022, diare merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian pada anak balita di Indonesia, menempati posisi kedua setelah Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA). Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui Gambaran Risiko Kejadian Diare Pada Balita Di Wilayah Kerja UPT Puskesmas Selat Kuala Kapuas. Metode : Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan populasi penelitian adalah semua balita yang menderita diare di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Selat Kuala Kapuas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 59 balita didapatkan dengan cara concecutive sampling. Hasil penelitian : Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari 59 responden terdapat kelompok kondisi jamban yang paling banyak tidak memenuhi sebanyak 35 responden (59,3%) dan memenuhi sebanyak 24 responden (40,7%). Gambaran resiko kejadian diare pada balita dari 59 responden terdapat kelompok perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun yang paling banyak tidak memenuhi sebanyak 40 responden (67,8%) dan memenuhi sebanyak 19 responden (32,2%). Kesimpulan dan Saran : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, sebaiknya petugas kesehatan terutama bidan bekerjasama dengan puskesmas untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan di masyarakat dengan fokus pada praktik kebersihan jamban serta perilaku mencuci tangan.

Background: Diarrhea is a health problem that often occurs in children under five throughout the world. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2022, diarrhea is one of the main causes of death in children under five in Indonesia, ranking second after Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI). Purpose: To determine the risk of diarrhea in toddlers in the Kuala Kapuas Selat Health Center UPT working area. Methods: This type of research uses descriptive methods with the research population being all toddlers in the working area of the Kuala Kapuas Selat Health Center UPT. The sample in this study was 59 toddlers obtained by means of consecutive sampling. Results: The results of this research show that of the 59 respondents there were groups of latrine conditions that were most inadequate, 35 respondents (59.3%) and 24 respondents (40.7%). Description of the risk of diarrhea in toddlers from 59 respondents, there is a group of behavior of washing hands with soap which is mostly not fulfilled by 40 respondents (67.8%) and 19 respondents (32.2%) fulfill it. Conclusions and Suggestions: Based on the results of this research, it would be best for health workers, especially midwives, to collaborate with community health centers to provide health education in the community with a focus on latrine hygiene practices and hand washing behavior.
