Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kecemasan praoperasi merupakan respons psikologis yang sering dialami pasien sebelum menjalani tindakan pembedahan dan dapat memengaruhi kondisi fisiologis serta kelancaran operasi. Edukasi melalui media leaflet merupakan salah satu intervensi keperawatan nonfarmakologis yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi kecemasan pasien. Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh edukasi melalui media leaflet terhadap tingkat kecemasan pasien praoperasi di RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental dan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 responden yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Tingkat kecemasan diukur menggunakan Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi melalui media leaflet. Uji normalitas menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk dan analisis perbedaan dilakukan dengan Wilcoxon SignedRank Test. Hasil: Rata-rata skor total HARS sebelum diberikan edukasi adalah 23,83 dan setelah diberikan edukasi menurun menjadi 20,97, dengan penurunan rata-rata sebesar 2,87 poin. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank menunjukkan nilai standardized test statistic (Z) sebesar -4,756 dengan p-value < 0,001. Kesimpulan: Edukasi melalui media leaflet efektif menurunkan tingkat kecemasan pasien praoperasi dan dapat dijadikan sebagai intervensi keperawatan nonfarmakologis untuk meningkatkan kesiapan psikologis pasien sebelum menjalani tindakan pembedahan. Leafletbased health education is a non-pharmacological nursing intervention that can help reduce patients' anxiety. Objective: To analyze the effect of leaflet-based health education on preoperative anxiety among patients at RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Methods: This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using a onegroup pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 30 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) before and after education through leaflet media. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results: The mean total HARS score decreased from 23.83 before the intervention to 20.97 after the intervention, with a mean reduction of 2.87 points. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a standardized test statistic (Z) of -4.756 with a p-value < 0.001. Conclusion: Leaflet-based health education was effective in reducing preoperative anxiety and can be implemented as a non-pharmacological nursing intervention to improve patients' psychological preparedness before surgery.
