Abstract
Speech delay is a language development disorder characterized by a delay in pronunciation appropriate for age. One intervention that can stimulate a child's speech ability is play therapy. Puzzles, as an educational play tool, can help children recognize shapes, colors, and new vocabulary, as well as improve concentration. This study aims to apply puzzle play therapy to improve pronunciation skills in children with speech delay at the Menteng Community Health Center (UPTD) in Palangka Raya. The study used a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach on two children with speech delay. Data were collected through assessment, interviews, physical examinations, observation, and documentation. Results from the study after the intervention for both clients showed improved pronunciation. The first client (An. N) showed progress from using only gestures to beginning simple communication. The second client (An. E) also experienced improvement in nonverbal responses, although her verbal abilities were still limited. The study concludes that puzzle play therapy can provide significant changes in improving pronunciation skills in children with speech delay, through a fun and interactive approach that stimulates both verbal and nonverbal aspects.
