DM management such as drug therapy is required by the person with DM to keep blood sugar stable and avoid any complications that may occur. Achieving successful management of diabetes mellitus clients is influenced by client compliance in following any advice given by health care workers, such as client compliance in taking medication. One of the factors that can affect adherence to people with diabetes is the level of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge level with adherence to taking oral hypoglycemic medication on diabetes mellitus type 2 clients. This research use research design cross sectional, sampling using purposive sampling technique, the number of samples in this research is 51 respondents. Data analysis using simple multinomial logistic regression test, got significant value p-value = 0,007 (p <0,05). Then it can be concluded that there is a close relationship between the Level of Knowledge with Drug Compliance Oral Hypoglycemic Drugs on Type 2 DM Client in BLUD RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. The better of he the knowledge it will make DM client's compliance to therapy, on the contrary the client with the knowledge level is less likely to have higher non-compliance risk, this can increase the risk for complications that can be experienced by the client.
