Abstract

Latar Belakang : Usia balita merupakan masa dimana proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan terjadi sangat pesat. Salah satu permasalahan gizi yang sering terjadi adalah stunting. Stunting merupakan satu dari beberapa masalah gizi yang dialami oleh balita didunia.

Tujuan : Untuk menganalisis determinan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 1-5 tahun.

Metode : Pengambilan data kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Cara pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan non probability sampling dengan consecutive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 responden.

Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik chi square mengenai hubungan faktor pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian stanting di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Saripoi didapatkan hasil bahwa P value = 0,011, artinya terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara faktor pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian stunting. Diperoleh nilai p value = 0,001 yaitu terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat pekerjaan ibu dengan kejadian stunting, didapatkan hasil bahwa P value = 0,022, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor pendapatan ayah dengan kejadian stanting dan didapatkan nilai OR sebesar 1,094. diperoleh nilai p value = 0,063 yaitu terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara faktor pemberian asi eksklusif ibu dengan kejadian stunting. Didapatkan nilai OR sebesar 1,072 artinya bahwa anak yang pernah menderita suatu penyakit akan berpeluang atau beresiko 1 kali mengalami stunting. Diperoleh nilai p value = 0,017 yaitu terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara faktor riwayat penyakit dengan kejadian stunting.

Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara faktor pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian stunting diwilayah Kerja Upt Puskesmas Saripoi.

Background : Toddler age is a period where the process of growth and development occurs very rapidly. One of the nutritional problems that often occurs is stunting. Stunting is one of several nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world.

Objective : To analyze the determinants of stunting in toddlers aged 1-5 years. Methods: Collecting quantitative data using a Cross Sectional approach. The sampling method in this study used non-probability sampling with consecutive sampling. The number of samples is 60 respondents.

Results : Based on the results of the chi square statistical test regarding the relationship of maternal education factors with the incidence of stunting in the Saripoi Health Center Work Area, it was found that P value = 0.011, meaning that there was a significant relationship between maternal education factors and the incidence of stunting. The p value = 0.001 is obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship between the level of mother's work and the incidence of stunting. The results show that P value = 0.022, meaning that there is a significant relationship between the father's income factor and the incidence of stunting and the OR value is 1.094. The obtained p value = 0.063, which means that there is a significant relationship between the factor of exclusive breastfeeding for mothers and the incidence of stunting. An OR value of 1.072 means that a child who has suffered from a disease will have the opportunity or risk of experiencing stunting once. 2 obtained p value = 0.017, which means that there is a significant relationship between the history of the disease and the incidence of stunting.

Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between maternal education factors and the incidence of stunting in the Saripoi Health Center Upt Work Area.
