Abstract
Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a condition of a mother with a hemoglobin level below 11 gr% in the first and third trimesters or a hemoglobin level of less than 10.5 gr% in the second trimester. The impact of anemia on pregnant women is shortness of breath, fatigue, palpitations, hypertension, sleep disorders, preeclampsia, abortion and increasing the risk of bleeding before and during delivery and even maternal death. ANC (Antenatal care) is a national strategy that can be used as an early screening for high-risk pregnancy conditions, one of which is anemia, so that with routine ANC examinations it is hoped that cases of anemia will be quickly detected and can be pursued according to interventions to increase hemoglobin before delivery. Antenatal Care (ANC) services for normal pregnancies are at least 6x with details of 1x in Trimester 1, 2x in Trimester 2, and 3x in Trimester 3. Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between ANC compliance and taking blood supplement tablets (TTD) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in the third trimester at the BLUD UPT Pahandut Health Center, Palangka Raya City. Method: The method used in this research is observational analytics using a cross sectional approach. Results: Based on the results of research conducted at Blud UPT Pahandut Health Center, Palangka Raya City, the characteristics of respondents were known based on age of pregnant women (61.4%), parity of nulliparous pregnant women (44.3%), and LILA ≥23.5 (90% ), non-compliance with ANC (68.6%), non-compliance with taking blood supplement tablets (82.9%), anemia in pregnant women (68.6%). Conclusion: The relationship between ANC adherence and taking blood supplement tablets (TTD) with the occurrence of anemia in third trimester pregnant women based on the chi square test can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between ANC adherence and taking blood supplement tablets (TTD) with the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women in BLUD Pahandut Community Health Center UPT with ANC compliance values (p=0.000<0.005) and compliance values for taking blood supplement tablets (p=0.027<0.005).
