Abstract
Gizi kurang merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Masalah gizi pada balita dapat memberi dampak terhadap kualitas sumber daya manusia, sehingga jika tidak diatasi dapat menyebabkan lost generation. Kekurangan gizi dapat mengakibatkan gagal tumbuh kembang, meningkatkan angka kematian dan kesakitan serta penyakit terutama pada kelompok usia rawan gizi yaitu balita. Masalah gizi balita dapat diminimalisir dengan pemberian makanan pendamping ASI dengan memperhatikan waktu yang tepat dan prinsip gizi seimbang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan pemberian MP- ASI (Makanan Pendamping ASI) pada balita gizi kurang di Desa Rubung Buyung. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian balita usia 6-59 bulan di wilayah Desa Rubung Buyung, Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur. Yang berjumlah 20 orang balita. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara kuiseoner dan penimbangan antropometri berat badan. Berdasarkan karakteristik balita gizi kurang di desa Rubung Buyung, karakteristik umur balita gizi sebagian besar balita masuk ke dalam 1-3 tahun sebanyak 75%, karakteristik jenis kelamin balita sebagian besar memiliki jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 80%, karakteristik balita berat badan balita Status gizi balita berdasarkan indeks BB/U menunjukan 80% masuk dalam kategori berat badan kurang. Berdasarkan karakteristik tingkat pendidikan ibu balita gizi kurang sebagian besar ibu balita memiliki tingkat pendidikan tamat SD yaitu sebesar 75,0%, karakteristik tingkat pengetahuan ibu balita gizi kurang sebagian besar masuk dalam kategori kurang sebanyak 80%. Disarankan meningkatkan promosi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu khususnya tentang berat badan gizi kurang pada balita, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya dan bagaimana pemberian MP-ASI yang tepat. Poor nutrition is one of the health problems in Indonesia. Nutrition problems in infants can have an impact on the quality of human resources, so that if not addressed can lead to lost generation. Malnutrition can lead to failure of growth and development, increase mortality and morbidity and disease, especially in the age group prone to nutrition, namely toddlers. Toddler nutrition problems can be minimized by providing complementary feeding with attention to the right time and the principle of balanced nutrition. This study aims to find out the description of the knowledge of giving MP-ASI (ASI Complementary Food) to under- nutrition children in Rubung Buyung Village. The research design used was descriptive with research subjects underfive aged 6-59 months in the area of Rubung Buyung Village, East Kotawaringin Regency. A total of 20 children under five. Data was collected through quiseoner interviews and anthropometric weighing. Based on the characteristics of malnourished children under five in Rubung Buyung village, the age characteristics of under five years of age most of toddlers go into 1-3 years as much as 75%, the characteristics of toddler sex mostly have 80% female gender, under five years old. based on BB / U index, it shows 80% included in the category of underweight. Based on the characteristics of the level of education of under-nutrition mothers, most of the under-five mothers have an elementary education level of 75.0%, the characteristics of the level of knowledge of under-nutrition mothers are mostly in the under-category as much as 80%. It is recommended to increase health promotion to increase the knowledge of mothers, especially regarding underweight nutritional weight in infants, the factors that influence it and how to provide proper MP-ASI.
