Abstract
Background: Based on data from the Household Health Survey (SKRT) in 2013, the direct causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia include 42% bleeding, preeclampsia / eclampsia. Based on data from the Kotawaringin Timur District Health Office in 2016 the complications experienced by pregnant women with preeclampsia amounted to 164 people, this figure rose in 2017 to 266 pregnant women
who experienced pre-eclampsia.
bjective:
The aim of this study was to find an association between parity and preeclampsia in pregnant women who were admitted to the Dr. Murjani Hospital Sampit Research method: Research design used in this study is a case control study. The study sample was third trimester pregnant women who experienced preeclampsia and did not experience pre-eclampsia, amounting to 64 people. 32 pre-eclampsia pregnant women for the case and 32 pregnant women who did not have preeclampsia for the data control group were obtained from the PONEK room medical
record book at RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit research was conducted from January to
March 2019. Data were analyzed by chi square test and odd ratio.
Results:
Of the 31 pregnant women with primigravida who had preeclampsia as many as 21 people (64.5%) while the total respondents who did not experience preeclampsia were 11 people (35.3%). While from 33 pregnant women with multigravida who experienced preeclampsia as many as 12 people (36.4%) and those without preeclampsia as many as 21 people (63.6%). The results of the analysis show p-value = 0.045 with 95% so that the p-value is smaller than alpha <α (0.05) and the odds ratio OR = 3.182 (95% CI lower 1,145 upper 8.841). From the data from the results of the analysis there is a significant relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of preeclampsia. Where primigravida increased 3,182 times to experience preeclampsia.
