Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk only that is given to babies from birth for 6 (six) months.
There are many benefits that can be obtained from offering exclusive breastfeeding. The
national figure for providing exclusive breastfeeding has an increasing trend, but the rates of
malnutrition and nutrition are less than the figure. The aim of this research is to see
the relationship between offering exclusive breastfeeding and weight gain for babies aged 6
months. This research is an analytical study with a cross sectional design. Using a total sampling
of 189 babies aged 6 months who examined from January to March 2019. The results showed that
the p value (0.003) < α (0.05) with a value of C (0.211), which means that there is a relationship
between offering exclusive breastfeeding. with weight
gain for babies aged 6 months and have a weak corellation but positive..
