Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is the best food for babies from birth to ensure the achievement of optimal quality of children's growth and development. The growth of the baby is not only an indicator of the weight but also the body length of the baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between breastfeeding and the body length of babies aged 6 months. This type of study uses an analytical type with a Cross Sectional Study research design in infants aged 6 months using secondary data. The statistical test of the study used the Chi square test. Babies who are given exclusive breastfeeding tend to have a normal body length of 80%, while babies who are non-exclusive breastfeeding tend to have a short body length of 50%. From the results of statistical tests, it is known that ρ 0.016 < 0.05, the conclusion is that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the body length of babies aged 6 months.
