Abstract

Status Gizi Balita merupakan keadaan tubuh sebagai akibat konsumsi makanan dan penggunaan zat-zat gizi. Gizi merupakan hal penting untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita. Apabila status gizi balita tidak tercukupi, maka dapat terjadi komplikasi pada kesehatan nya sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Berdasarkan profil kesehatan di kota Palangka Raya tahun 2019 ditemukan 3 kasus gizi buruk dari balita yang ditimbang di puskesmas juga posyandu.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu terhadap status gizi pada balita di Puskesmas Menteng Kota Palangka Raya.

Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei dimana peneliti terjun langsung di lapangan dengan menyerbarkan angket atau kuesioner kepada responden. Lokasi penelitian yang akan diteliti adalah di Puskesmas Menteng Kota Palangka Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki balita usia 1-5 tahun sebanyak 59 orang.

Tingkat pengetahuan ibu terhadap status gizi pada balita di puskesmas menteng adalah cukup yaitu sebanyak 30 orang (50,8%). Ibu yang memiliki balita dengan status gizi baik yaitu sebanyak 46 orang (78,0%), status gizi kurang sebanyak 9 orang (15,3%), paling sedikit pada balita dengan status gizi lebih sebanyak 2 orang (3,4%), dan status gizi buruk sebanyak 2 orang (3,4%). Karakteristik ibu yang memiliki balita dengan status gizi baik di puskesmas menteng kota palangka raya yaitu mayoritas berusia 20-35 tahun, ibu dengan berpendidikan PT, ibu tidak bekerja, ibu dengan paritas multipara (melahirkan 1 kali) dan ibu dengan penghasilan keluarga  UMP.

Toddler nutritional status is the state of the body as a result of food consumption and use of nutrients. Nutrition is important to support the growth and development of toddlers. If the nutritional status of toddlers is not fulfilled, complications can occur in their health so that it can affect the growth and development of children. Based on the health profile in the city of Palangka Raya in 2019, 3 cases of malnutrition were found from toddlers who were weighed at the puskesmas and posyandu.

The purpose of this study was to describe the mother's knowledge of the nutritional status of children under five at the Menteng Public Health Center, Palangka Raya City.

In this study, the researcher used a descriptive research method with a survey approach where the researcher went directly to the field by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires to the respondents. The research location to be researched is in Menteng Public Health Center, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers aged 1-5 years as many as 59 people.

The mother's level of knowledge on the nutritional status of children under five at the Menteng Public Health Center was sufficient, as many as 30 people (50.8%). Mothers who have toddlers with good nutritional status are 46 people (78.0%), less nutritional status are 9 people (15.3%), at least 2 people with overweight nutritional status (3.4%), and poor nutritional status as many as 2 people (3.4%). The characteristics of mothers who have children under five with good nutritional status at the Menteng Public Health Center, Palangka Raya, are the majority aged 20-35 years, mothers with PT education, mothers who do not work, mothers with multiparity parity (giving birth once) and mothers with family income UMP.
