Abstract

Latar Belakang : Menstruasi merupakan indikator kematangan seksual pada remaja putri. Menstruasi dihubungkan dengan beberapa kesalahpahaman tentang kebersihan diri selama menstruasi yang dapat merugikan kesehatan bagi remaja. Data UNICEF juga menyebutkan bahwa 1 dari 2 anak tidak tau apa yang harus dilakukan saat mengalami menstruasi untuk pertama kalinya, 1 dari 4 anak di Indonesia tidak pernah mendapatkan informasi tentang menstruasi sebelum mereka mendapatkan menstruasi pertama.
Tujuan : mengetahui pengaruh edukasi dengan media video terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap remaja putri tentang Manajemen Kebersihan Menstruasi Di SMPN 5 Muara Teweh.
Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah nonprobability sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling. Besaran sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 32 remaja di SMPN 5 Muara Teweh dan uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon.
Hasil : ada perbedaan pengetahuan responden sebelum diberikan intervensi skor pengetahuan 36,56 sesudah diberikan intervensi skor menjadi 90,47 (p 0,000 < a 0,05) dan sikap sebelum diberikan intervensi 64,53 dan sesudah diberikan intervensi skor menjadi 67,84 (p 0,000 < a 0,05).
Kesimpulan : edukasi dengan media video efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap di SMPN 5 Muara Teweh.

Background: Menstruation is an indicator of sexual maturity in young women. Menstruation is associated with several misunderstandings about personal hygiene during menstruation which can be detrimental to the health of adolescents. UNICEF also stated that 1 in 2 children did not know what to do when they experienced menstruation for the first time, 1 in 4 children in Indonesia had never received information about menstruation before they had their first menstruation.
Objective: to determine the effect of education using video media on the knowledge and attitudes of young women about the Management of Menstrual Hygiene at SMPN 5 Muara Teweh.
Methods: This type of research is pre-experimental with the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. The sample size in this study was 32 teenagers at SMPN 5 Muara Teweh and the statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test.
Results: there is a difference in the knowledge of the respondents before being given the intervention the knowledge score was 36.56 after the intervention the score was 90.47 (p 0.000 < a 0.05) and the attitude before being given the intervention was 64.53 and after being given the intervention the score was 67.84 (p 0.000 < a 0.05).
Conclusion: education with video media is effective for increasing knowledge and attitudes at SMPN 5 Muara Teweh.
