Abstract
Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita (bayi dibawah lima tahun) yang dapat mengakibatkan kekurangan gizi kronis terutama, sehingga anak terlalu pendek untuk usianya. Stunting memberikan dampak yang besar bagi kehidupan pada anak dan berdampak serius yaitu menurunnya kemampuan kognitif, terganggunya perkembangan otak, dan gangguan pertumbuhan fisik. Tujuan penelitian ini bagaimanakah kejadian stunting dengan perkembangan Balita Usia 24 – 59 bulan di Puskesmas Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 75 sampel yang masuk kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pahandut Kota Palangka Raya pada bulan maret – mei 2023 dan telah memenuhi ijin etik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar demografi dan lembar DDST dan diolah menggunakan Microsoft excel dan spss. Hasil penelitian menunjukan balita yang normal sebanyak 16 balita (21.3%), pendek sebanyak 35 balita (46.7%), dan balita yang sangat pendek sebanyak 24 balita (32.0%). Balita yang perkembangannya normal sebanyak 42 balita (56.0%), balita yang suspek sebanyak 33 balita (44.0%) dan responden yang tidak dapat diuji tidak ada. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan stunting dengan perkembangan balita usia 24 – 59 bulan di Puskesmas Pahandut dengan nilai p value = 0,001 ( < 0,05).
Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five years old which can lead to malnutrition, especially chronic ones, so that children are too short for their age. Stunting has a major impact on children's lives and has a serious impact, namely decreased cognitive abilities, disrupted brain development, and impaired physical growth. The purpose of this study is how is the incidence of stunting related to the development of toddlers aged 24-59 months at the Pahandut Health Center, Palangkaraya City.
This study used a cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this study was carried out by purposive sampling method. The sample in this study amounted to 75 samples that were included in the inclusion criteria. This research was carried out in the working area of the Pahandut Health Center, Palangka Raya City in March - May 2023 and has fulfilled ethical clearance. Data collection uses demographic sheets and DDST sheets and is processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results showed that there were 16 normal toddlers (21.3%), 35 toddlers (46.7%) who were short, and 24 toddlers who were very short (32.0%). There were 42 toddlers (56.0%) who had normal development, 33 toddlers who were suspected (44.0%) and there were no respondents who could not be tested. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between stunting and the development of toddlers aged 24-59 months at the Pahandut Health Center with a p value = 0.001 (<0.05).
