Abstract

Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus merupakan salah satu penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar gula didalam darah (hiperglikemia). Hal ini dapat terjadi karena tidak dihasilkan insulin oleh pankreas maupun karena kurangnya sensitivitas insulin didalam tubuh seseorang.
Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui efektivitas terapi kombinasi relaksasi lima jari dengan nature sound music terhadap depresi pasien DM tipe 2 di kota Palangka Raya.
Metode penelitian: desain penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest with control group design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di UPT Puskesmas Kayon dan BLUD UPT Puskesmas Pahandut dengan jumlah responden masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 30 responden. Pengambilan responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji Mann-Whitney dengan ⍺ ≤ 0,05.
Hasil penelitian: penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik responden lebih banyak berusia >45 tahun, lebih banyak responden berjenis kelamin perempuan, penghasilan perbulan terbanyak yaitu ≤Rp 2.900.000, responden lebih banyak tidak memiliki luka ulkus, responden lebih banyak tidak memiliki penyakit bawaan, dan responden lebih banyak tinggal bersama keluarga. Selain itu, terapi kombinasi relaksasi lima jari dengan nature sound music efektif menurunkan skor depresi pasien DM tipe 2 di Kota Palangka Raya dengan hasil p value <0,001 pada kelompok intervensi dan p value 0,003 pada kelompok kontrol ⍺ < 0,05.
Kesimpulan: terapi kombinasi relaksasi lima jari dengan nature sound music efektif menurunkan depresi pasien DM tipe 2 di kota Palangka Raya.

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood (hyperglycemia). This can happen because the pancreas does not produce insulin or because of a lack of insulin sensitivity in a person's body.
Research objective: to determine the effectiveness of five finger relaxation combination therapy with nature sound music on depression in type 2 DM patients in Palangka Raya city.
Research method: the research design uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest with control group design. This research was conducted at UPT Puskesmas Kayon and BLUD UPT Puskesmas Pahandut with 30 respondents in each group. Intake of respondents using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test with ⍺ ≤ 0.05.
Research results: the study showed that the characteristics of respondents were more than 45 years old, more respondents were female, the highest monthly income was ≤Rp 2,900,000, more respondents did not have ulcers, more respondents did not have congenital diseases, and more respondents many live with family. In addition, combination therapy of five finger relaxation with nature sounds music was effective in reducing the depression score of type 2 DM patients in Palangka Raya City with a p value <0.001 in the intervention group and a p value of 0.003 in the control group ⍺ <0.05.
Conclusion: combination therapy of five finger relaxation with nature sound music is effective in reducing depression in type 2 DM patients in the city of Palangka Raya.
