Abstract

Latar Belakang : Rupture perineum menjadi salah satu penyebab perdarahan postpartum. Sekitar 50% dari kejadian rupture perineum didunia terjadi di Asia. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan untuk mencegah robekan pada perineum saat bersalin adalah dengan pijat perineum.
Tujuan : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan gambaran pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester 3 tentang pijat perineum.
Metode : Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif, dilaksanakan di PMB W. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang sudah memasuki trimester III sebanyak 46 orang yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling
Hasil : Dari 46 responden, mayoritas responden sebelum diberi edukasi tentang pijat perineum yaitu berpengetahuan kurang sebanyak 27 responden (58,70%). Sesudah diberi edukasi, pengetahuan responden meningkat sebanyak 33 responden (71,7%) berpengetahuan baik. Usia terbanyak antara 20-35 tahun sebanyak 28 responden (60,9%), Pendidikan Menengah sebanyak 31 responden (67,4%), IRT sebanyak 31 responden (67,4%), Tidak Memperoleh Informasi sebanyak 31 responden (67,4).
Kesimpulan : Mayoritas responden sebelum diberi edukasi mengenai pijat perineum memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 27 responden (58,7%) dari 46 responden. Sesudah diberi edukasi, pengetahuan responden terjadi peningkatan yaitu berpengetahuan baik sebanyak 33 responden (71,7%).
Saran : Diharapkan bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pijat perineum pada ibu hamil trimester 3 melalui pendidikan kesehatan atau sosialisasi secara langsung maupun melalui media cetak dan media elektronik.

Background: Perineal rupture is one of the causes of postpartum hemorrhage. About 50% of the world's perineal rupture events occur in Asia. One of the efforts that can be made to prevent tears in the perineum during childbirth is perineal massage.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the description of the third trimester pregnant women's knowledge about perineal massage.
Method: This type of research was descriptive, carried out at PMB W. The population in this study were all pregnant women who had entered their third trimester in December 2022-January 2023 as many as 72 people with a sample of 46 people taken by simple random sampling technique
Results: Of the 46 respondents, the majority of respondents before being given education about perineal massage, that is, 27 respondents (58.70%) had less knowledge. After being given education, the knowledge of the respondents increased by 33 respondents (71.7%) who had good knowledge. Most of the age between 20-35 years as many as 28 respondents (60.9%). Most recent education is secondary education as many as 31 respondents (67.4%). The most occupations were IRT 31 respondents (67.4%). Most sources of information are not obtaining information as many as 31 respondents (67.4).
Conclusion: The majority of respondents before being given education about perineal massage had less knowledge as many as 27 respondents (58.7%) of 46 respondents. After being given education, the knowledge of the respondents increased, that is, 33 respondents (71.7%) had good knowledge.
Suggestion: It is hoped that it can increase knowledge about perineal massage in third trimester pregnant women through health education or outreach directly or through print and electronic media.
