Abstract

Latar Belakang: Guillain Barré Syndrome merupakan gangguan neurologis akut akibat proses autoimun pada sistem saraf perifer yang menyebabkan kelemahan otot progresif, gangguan mobilitas, gangguan sensorik, hingga gagal napas sehingga memerlukan asuhan keperawatan secara komprehensif untuk mencegah komplikasi dan meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional pasien. Tujuan Penelitian: Menggambarkan pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan Guillain Barré Syndrome di Ruang Seruni RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin Kalimantan Selatan. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi keperawatan pada satu pasien dengan Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan pasien mengalami kelemahan ekstremitas atas dan bawah, kesemutan, penurunan refleks fisiologis, gangguan mobilitas fisik, dan keterbatasan aktivitas sehari-hari. Intervensi keperawatan yang diberikan berupa dukungan mobilisasi, latihan rentang gerak, pemantauan respirasi, manajemen nyeri, edukasi kesehatan, serta kolaborasi terapi medis. Setelah dilakukan tindakan keperawatan selama tiga hari, kondisi pasien menunjukkan peningkatan kekuatan otot, penurunan nyeri, peningkatan kemampuan aktivitas, dan tidak ditemukan komplikasi pernapasan selama perawatan. Pasien juga tampak lebih mandiri dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar selama menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit. Saran: Asuhan keperawatan yang komprehensif, sistematis, dan berkelanjutan dapat membantu meningkatkan kondisi fisik serta mencegah komplikasi pada pasien Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Kata Kunci: Asuhan Keperawatan, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Gangguan Mobilitas Fisik Background: Guillain Barré Syndrome is an acute neurological disorder caused by an autoimmune process affecting the peripheral nervous system, resulting in progressive muscle weakness, impaired mobility, sensory disturbances, and respiratory failure. Therefore, comprehensive nursing care is required to prevent complications and improve the patient's functional abilities. Research Objective: To describe the implementation of nursing care for a patient with Guillain Barré Syndrome in the Seruni Ward of Ulin Regional General Hospital, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Research Methods: This study used a descriptive case study method with a nursing process approach, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for one patient with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Study Results: The assessment findings showed that the patient experienced weakness in the upper and lower extremities, tingling sensations, decreased physiological reflexes, impaired physical mobility, and limitations in daily activities. Nursing interventions included mobility support, range-of-motion exercises, respiratory monitoring, pain management, health education, and collaboration with medical therapy. After thre days of nursing care, the patient's condition showed improved muscle strength, reduced pain, enhanced activity performance, and no respiratory complications during hospitalization. The patient also appeared more independent in meeting basic needs during the hospital stay. Suggestion: Comprehensive, systematic, and continuous nursing care can help improve physical condition and prevent complications in patients with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
