Abstract

Latar Belakang : Jumlah penduduk Indonesia kini telah mencapai 278,69 juta jiwa pada pertengahan tahun 2023. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang tidak terkendali ini akan menyebabkan banyak masalah yang dihadapi oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Alat kontrasepsi yang mempunyai efektivitas cukup tinggi dan merupakan alat kontrasepsi non hormonal serta bisa digunakan dalam jangka panjang yaitu Intra Uterine Device (IUD). Data jumlah akseptor KB keseluruhan di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kayon yang menggunakan IUD hanya 0,37% atau sebanyak 19 orang. Tujuan : dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap penggunaan kontrasepsi IUD. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observatif dengan pedekatan Case Control. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling dimana jumlah sampel sama dengan jumlah populasi yaitu sebanyak 19 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan memberikan kuesioner pada responden. Hasil penelitian : hasil uji statistik menggunkaan uji Chi square untuk analisis hubungan pengetahuan didapatkan hasil p value 0,009 yang berarti ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan penggunaan IUD dan hasil analisis hubungan sikap terhadap penggunaan kontrasepsi IUD didapatkan nilai p value 0,000 yang berarti keduanya saling berhubungan Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap penggunaan IUD di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kayon Kota Palangka Raya.

Background: Indonesia's population had reached 27.869 million by mid-2023. This uncontrolled population growth will cause many problems for the Indonesian government. One of many ways to deal with this issue is proposing the use of contraceptives. One example of contraceptive that is highly effective, non- hormonal, and can be used in a long-term period is an Intra Uterine Device (IUD). However, data on the total number of contraception acceptors in the Kayon Community Health Center working area who use IUDs is only 0.37% or 19 people. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude towards the usage of IUD contraceptives. Research Methods: The method used in this study is an observational analytic method with Case Control approach. The sampling technique used is total sampling where the number of samples is equal to the population, which was 19 people in total. To collect the data, questionnaires were utilized to receive the responses from the respondents. Research results: The statistical tests using the Chi square test show p value of 0.009 in the analysis of knowlede, which means there is a correlation between knowledge and the usage of IUD contraceptives. Along with that, p value of 0.000 is obtained in the analysis of attitude. These numbers indicate that both knowledge and attitude are interconnected in the usage of IUD contraceptives among the respondents. Conclusion: After the thorough analysis, this study found that there is a correlation between knowledge and attitude towards the use of IUD contraceptives in the working area of Kayon Health Center Palangka Raya City.
