Abstract

Background: Inappropriate selection of health facilities such as place and birth attendants will have a direct impact on the mother's health. In choosing a place to give birth there are at least two, namely the mother's home or a health facility, but the more ideal one is a health facility because if complications occur during childbirth there will be it is easier to take action or make referrals, whereas at home emergency care will be difficult to handle. Objective: to determine the factors related to the choice of birthing mothers to give birth in health facilities in the UPT work area. Kampuri Community Health Center. Method: This research was conducted using an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all mothers giving birth from January to March 2024 in the working area of the Kampuri Community Health Center with a sample size of 38 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling and statistical tests use the chi-square test. Results: based on the results of statistical tests the variables that were related were education (p 0.002), employment (p 0.041), ANC visits (p 0.002), and P4K counseling (p 0.003). Conclusion: factors related to the choice of delivery place in the Kampuri Community Health Center working area are education, employment, ANC visits and P4K counseling.
