Abstract
Latar Belakang : Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 yang tidak terkontrol dapat menyebabkan komplikasi penyakit lain. Komplikasi pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2. Salah satu pengendalian Diabetes Melitus yang dapat dilakukan oleh penderita Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 adalah self management DM. Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui hubungan self management DM terhadap kualitas hidup pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di klub prolanis Kayon DM Barigas dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 73 responden. Pengambilan responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman Rank. Hasil : Hasil penelitian didapatkan responden dengan self management DM baik sebanyak 43 responden (58,9%) dan sebagian besar responden memiliki kualitas hidup buruk sebanyak 43 responden (58,9%). Hasil uji spearman rank diperoleh nilai P-value < 0,001 dan koefisien kolerasi r 0,415 yang artinya kekuatan hubungan antar variabel self management DM dengan kualitas hidup cukup kuat dan nilai koefisien kolerasi bernilai positif yang berarti hubungan kedua variabel searah Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan antara self management DM dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di klub prolanis Kayon DM Barigas Kota Palangka Raya
Background : Uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus can cause complications from other diseases. Complications in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients can affect the quality of life type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients. One of the controls Diabetes Mellitus that can be carried out by type 2 Diabetes Mellitus sufferers is self management of DM. Research Objective : To determine the relationship between DM Self Management and the quality of life of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients. Research Method : This research is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. This research was conducted at the Kayon DM Barigas prolanist club with a sample size of 73 respondents. Respondents were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. Research Result : The research results showed that 43 respondents (58.9%) had good DM self-management and the majority of respondents had poor quality of life, 43 respondents (58.9%). The results of the Spearman rank test obtained a P-value < 0.001 and a correlation coefficient r of 0.415, which means that the strength of the relationship between the DM self-management variable and quality of life is quite strong and the correlation coefficient value is positive, which means the relationship between the two variables is in the same direction. Conclusion : There is a relationship between DM self-management and quality of life in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients at the Kayon DM Barigas prolanis club, Palangka Raya City
