Abstract

Latar Belakang:ASI eksklusif merupakan pemberian air susu ibu kepada bayi sejak lahir hingga usia 6 bulan tanpa tambahan makanan atau minuman lain kecuali obat, vitamin, dan mineralPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 6 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Menteng. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 6 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Menteng. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 79 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat menggunakan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) dan disajikan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi serta persentase. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 45 orang (57,0%), sedangkan yang tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 34 orang (43,0%). Berdasarkan usia, mayoritas responden berusia 20–35 tahun sebanyak 69 orang (87,3%), dengan sebagian besar memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 37 orang (53,6%). Berdasarkan riwayat ANC, mayoritas responden memiliki riwayat ANC teratur sebanyak 44 orang (55,7%), dengan sebagian besar memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 34 orang (77,3%). Berdasarkan tingkat pengetahuan, mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan baik sebanyak 48 orang (60,8%), dengan sebagian besar tetap memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 29 orang (60,4%). Pembahasan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu memberikan ASI eksklusif kepada bayinya. Pemberian ASI eksklusif lebih banyak ditemukan pada ibu yang berada pada usia reproduksi sehat (20–35 tahun), memiliki riwayat ANC teratur, dan memperoleh informasi kesehatan selama masa kehamilan. DESCRIPTION OF EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING FOR MOTHERS WHO HAVE A 6-MONTH-OLD BABY IN THE WORK AREA OF THE MENTENG HEALTH CENTER Background:Exclusive breastfeeding is the giving of breast milk to babies from birth to the age of 6 months without additional food or beverages except drugs, vitamins, and mineralsThis study aims to find out the picture of exclusive breastfeeding for mothers who have a 6-month-old baby in the Menteng Health Center Working Area. Methods: This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The study population is all mothers who have 6-month-old babies in the Menteng Health Center Working Area. The research sample amounted to 79 respondents who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out univarially using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program and presented in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. Results: The results showed that most of the respondents gave exclusive breastfeeding as many as 45 people (57.0%), while those who did not breastfeed exclusively were 34 people (43.0%). Based on age, the majority of respondents aged 20–35 years were 69 people (87.3%), with most of them exclusively breastfeeding 37 people (53.6%). Based on ANC history, the majority of respondents had a regular history of ANC as many as 44 people (55.7%), with most of them exclusively breastfeeding as many as 34 people (77.3%). Based on the level of knowledge, the majority of respondents had good knowledge as many as 48 people (60.8%), with most still providing exclusive breastfeeding as many as 29 people (60.4%). Discussion: This study shows that most mothers give exclusive breast milk to their babies. Exclusive breastfeeding is more common in mothers who are of healthy reproductive age (20–35 years), have a regular history of ANC, and obtain health information during pregnancy. Therefore, it is necessary to improve health education, lactation counseling, and support for families and health workers to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage as recommended.
