Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi pada remaja merupakan bekal penting untuk mencegah berbagai masalah kesehatan reproduksi. Rendahnya pengetahuan remaja dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti jenis kelamin, peran orang tua, teman sebaya, dan sekolah. Tujuan: Mengetahui determinan pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi di SMP Kristen Palangka Raya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi berjumlah 65 siswa, dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara univariat dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 37 orang (56,9%), diikuti kategori cukup 23 orang (35,4%), dan baik 5 orang (7,7%). Responden didominasi laki-laki (55,4%). Sebagian besar responden menyatakan memperoleh informasi dari orang tua (63,1%), teman sebaya (66,2%), dan sekolah (78,5%). Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi di SMP Kristen Palangka Raya masih didominasi kategori kurang. Diperlukan peningkatan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi secara berkelanjutan melalui peran aktif sekolah, orang tua, dan tenaga kesehatan. Background: Reproductive health knowledge is an essential foundation for adolescents to prevent various reproductive health problems. Low levels of reproductive health knowledge among adolescents may be influenced by several factors, including gender, the role of parents, peers, and schools. Objective: To determine the determinants of adolescents’ reproductive health knowledge at SMP Kristen Palangka Raya. Methods: This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a crosssectional approach. The population consisted of 65 students, and the total sampling technique was used. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results were presented as frequency distributions and percentages. Results: Most respondents had poor reproductive health knowledge (37 students; 56.9%), followed by fair knowledge (23 students; 35.4%) and good knowledge (5 students; 7.7%). The majority of respondents were male (55.4%). Most respondents reported receiving information from their parents (63.1%), peers (66.2%), and schools (78.5%). Conclusion: The level of adolescents’ reproductive health knowledge at SMP Kristen Palangka Raya was predominantly poor. Therefore, continuous reproductive health education through the active involvement of schools, parents, and healthcare professionals is needed to improve adolescents’ knowledge.
