Abstract

Latar belakang: WHO mencatat sekitar 20 juta kelahiran dengan 2,7 juta kematian neonatal dan 15–20% BBLR setiap tahun. Di Indonesia, kematian neonatal tahun 2023 mencapai 27.530 jiwa, dan kasus BBLR di Kalimantan Tengah meningkat dari 874 (2%) pada 2021 menjadi 987 (2,4%) pada 2022, serta di Puskesmas Menteng naik dari 25 bayi (2022) menjadi 43 bayi (2024), sehingga dibutuhkan media promosi kesehatan efektif seperti video animasi dan lembar balik. Tujuan: Menilai efektivitas media video animasi dan lembar balik dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester I dan II tentang BBLR di Puskesmas Menteng Palangka Raya tahun 2025. Metode: Desain quasi eksperimen Pre-test dan Posttest with control group design dengan 54 sampel, terdiri dari 27 kelompok intervensi dan 27 kontrol. Hasil: Uji Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan signifikan di kedua kelompok (p = 0,000), dengan skor intervensi meningkat 24,45 poin dan kontrol 11,78 poin. Uji Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok (p = 0,000), dengan skor rata-rata intervensi 86,93 dan kontrol 76,78. Kesimpulan: Media video animasi dan lembar balik lebih efektif dibanding lembar balik saja. Mayoritas ibu di kelompok intervensi berpengetahuan kurang (48,1%) dan kontrol cukup (63,0%). Responden sebagian besar berusia 20–35 tahun (88,9%), kelompok intervensi dominan nulipara (44,4%) dan kontrol primipara (40,7%), dengan pendidikan menengah terbanyak di kedua kelompok. In Indonesia, neonatal deaths in 2023 reached 27,530 people, and BBLR cases in Central Kalimantan increased from 874 (2%) in 2021 to 987 (2.4%) in 2022, as well as in Menteng Health Center rose from 25 babies (2023) to 444 babies (2023), reaching a median of 2024 effective health promotion such as animated videos and handouts. Objective: To assess the effectiveness of animated video media and leaflets in improving the knowledge of pregnant women of the first and second trimesters on BBLR in Puskesmas Menteng Palangka Raya in 2025. Method: Quasi experimental design Pre-test and Post-test with control group design with 54 samples, consisting of 27 intervention and 27 control groups. Results: The Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant increase in knowledge in both groups (p = 0.000), with intervention scores increasing by 24.45 points and control by 11.78 points. The Independent Sample T-Test showed a significant difference between groups (p = 0.000), with a mean score of intervention 86.93 and control 76.78. Conclusions: Animated video media and flip sheets were more effective than flip sheets alone. The majority of mothers in the intervention group were poorly knowledgeable (48.1%) and the controls were sufficiently knowledgeable (63.0%). Respondents were mostly 20–35 years old (88.9%), the intervention group predominantly nulipara (44.4%) and control primipara (40.7%), with secondary education predominant in both groups.
