Abstract

DM merupakan penyakit yang tidak dapat disembuhkan tetapi kadar gula darahnya dapat dikendalikan agar selalu terkontrol. DM menjadi penyakit terbanyak ke-1 di poli rawat jalan RSUD Pulang Pisau. Perlu upaya peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien DM melalui manajemen DM. Pasien DM dalam melaksanakan diet harus memperhatikan 3J (jenis, jumlah, jadwal). Konseling gizi memiliki peranan penting dalam memperbaiki pola makan pasien DM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling diet dengan media lembar balik terhadap pengetahuan, keterampilan 3J dan kadar gula darah pada pasien DM tipe II di poli rawat jalan RSUD Pulang Pisau.
Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian menggunakan rancangan Case Control. Sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah 18 orang dibagi dengan 9 kelompok intervensi dan 9 kelompok kontrol.
Nilai pengetahuan kelompok intervensi yaitu skor terendah 12 dan skor tertinggi yaitu 15. Sedangkan kelompok kontrol skor terendah yaitu 10 dan skor tertinggi yaitu 13. Keterampilan 3J menunjukkan terdapat 8 responden (88,9%) yang masuk dalam kategori terampil pada kelompok intervensi dan 5 responden (55,6%) kelompok kontrol. Responden yang mempunyai gula darah tinggi yaitu 6 responden (66,7%) pada kelompok intervensi dan 8 responden (88,9%) kelompok kontrol. Ada pengaruh konseling diet dengan media lembar balik dan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan pada kelompok intervensi maupun kontrol (0,002). Selain itu, ada pengaruh konseling diet dengan media lembar balik dan leaflet terhadap keterampilan 3J pada kelompok intervensi maupun kontrol (0,033). Namun, tidak ada pengaruh konseling diet terhadap kadar gula darah pada kelompok intervensi maupun kontrol (0,058).

DM is a disease that cannot be cured, but blood sugar levels can be controlled. DM became the first most common disease in the outpatient polyclinic of Pulang Pisau Hospital. Efforts are needed to improve the quality of life of DM patients through DM management. DM patients carrying out the diet should pay attention to 3J (type, amount, and schedule). Nutritional counseling has an important role in improving the diet of DM patients. This study aims to determine the effect of diet counseling with backsheet media on knowledge, 3J skills, and blood sugar levels in Type II diabetes patients in outpatient polyclinics at Pulang Pisau Hospital.
This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using a case-control design. The sampling used was purposive sampling, with 18 people divided into 9 intervention groups and 9 control groups.
The knowledge value of the intervention group was between the lowest score of 12 and the highest score of 15. While the control group's lowest score is 10 and the highest score is 13. 3J skills showed that there were 8 respondents (88.9%) who were included in the skilled category in the intervention group and 5 respondents (55.6%) in the control group. Respondents who had high blood sugar were six (66.7%) in the intervention group and eight (88.9%) in the control group. There was an effect of diet counseling with backsheet media and leaflet media on knowledge in the intervention and control groups (0.002). In addition, there is an effect of diet counseling with backsheet and leaflet media on 3J skills in intervention and control groups (0.033). However, there was no effect of diet counseling on blood sugar levels in the intervention and control groups (0.058).
